We are looking for a talented Lead Analyst to lead a team dedicated to generating powerful insights about the customer experience in order to drive growth in customer retention and loyalty. Your primary focus will be leveraging your passion for digging into data, structuring problems, and building analyses to identify actionable insights and maximize the impact of Zulily’s customer programs on our customer and the business. You understand the complexities surrounding customer loyalty and measurement of investment opportunities that maximize both short- and long-term profitability. You drive projects from beginning to end and communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels, from peers to executives. You enjoy being creative in your use of data-driven tools and methodologies to understand marketing levers and are eager to initiate new ideas, approaches and actions to move the business forward. What you’ll do: • Own and lead projects to identify, model, and evaluate opportunities to drive growth in customer retention and loyalty. • Use customer centric data analysis, data visualization, segmentation, a/b testing and predictive modeling methods to optimize the customer experience through programs such as the Zulily Credit Card, Returns and Shipping. • Develop test plans and tools to measure performance, test hypotheses, develop insights and make recommendations that drive the highest incremental gains. • Develop and streamline necessary reporting, dashboards and one-off analyses, providing ability to monitor the health of customer programs and effectively communicate performance. • Work with stakeholders to identify multi-million dollar opportunities and facilitate data-driven decision-making. • Identify opportunities across product, machine learning, and marketing that enable personalization, automation and optimization of program strategy and execution. • Partner with technology teams to build out a best-in-class marketing platform and data infrastructure. • Prepare and present quantitative analyses to influence peers as well as C-level leadership. • Develop deep subject matter expertise and act as a Marketing Analytics subject matter expert within the Marketing organization. • Rapidly integrate best practices in marketing measurement by monitoring competitive landscape and industry standards. • Effectively lead through others to drive highest priority business impact. Who you are: • An experienced analytical leader who loves digging into data, structuring problems, and building analyses, translating them into actionable business recommendations. • A background in eCommerce and the passion to drive customer growth using data-driven insights. • 5+ years in digital analytics working with customer and marketing data. • Experience managing or mentoring analysts in a formal or informal capacity. • Bachelor's degree in quantitative or computer science field or equivalent experience. • Deep understanding of experiment design and diversity of methodologies to measure impact of customer experience programs and project deliverables. • Advanced capabilities in extracting and manipulating large data sets using SQL or similar. • Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau (or similar dashboard software). Familiarity with R or Python preferred. • Proven ability to lead cross-functionally and communicate effectively with other areas of the business. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Strong bias for action and experience in a high paced, high volume multi-tasking role and environment.
