The Marketing Manager will be a key member of the Marketing & Sales team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing and Sales. In this position, they will identify new potential marketing tactics and develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to meet the goals of our Education Division, specifically our K-12 Programs. The incumbent will work with subject matter experts and through variety of channels to reach target audiences with accurate and targeted messaging. Position serves as a relationship manager between the marketing team and business unit.

Work design: The position is 100% telework due to COVID-19, but is otherwise located in our DC office. Works under general supervision. Work is spot-checked. Resolves non-routine problems by applying general policies, practices, procedures, and principles. Performs in-depth analyses of standard problems.

Position Accountabilities

The Marketing Manager will be highly organized and an adept communicator. The role works within a team environment to collectively achieve the goals of the Marketing & Sales team. The role should drive the strategic planning in partnership with internal clients in Education, while working cooperatively with colleagues and supervisor. The individual needs to be able to develop sound, strategic marketing strategies and plans and collaborate across the team to implement said plans designed to reach awareness, registration and revenue targets. Copy writing, digital marketing and reporting/campaign optimization are integral functions of this position.

Education/Experience/Technological Knowledge

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related fields and 5-8 years of related experience. Project management experience preferred. An advanced degree may be substituted for work experience. Must have knowledge of current and emerging marketing practices. Ability to plan, organize, and carry out integrated marketing plans. Excellent writing and communication skills, ability to work within a team environment, and attention to detail required. Must have computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, CMS preferably AEM, marketing campaign tracking systems and reporting. Experience in working with Eloqua or similar marketing automation tools is a must.
