Proposal Content Manager

The Global Public Sector RFx team seeks an elite Content Manager rock star who can establish a proven framework to streamline proactive proposal content creation and ongoing maintenance. The successful candidate will play a vital role ensuring proposal content is up-to-date and is relevant and accessible to the people who need it, when they need it.

This individual will possess a driven and independent work ethic to gather information for content creation, review and refinement that aligns with Salesforce brand standards in plain language to position Salesforce for success by developing cross-functional relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout the organization. 

Job Duties

Successful candidates will:

  • Develop and maintain compelling and persuasive RFx content in support of global (AMER, APAC, EMEA) public sector RFxs, tenders, security questionnaires and other public sector procurement documents and unsolicited proposals for SaaS/PaaS solutions.

  • Ensure continued quality, accuracy and completeness of RFx content library through collaboration and established processes with internal teams. 

  • Motivate and manage SMEs to ensure commitment to updating content on a pre-agreed cycle.

  • Proactively track and document content changes for each major software release and throughout the year.

  • Prepare material for proposal efforts, on the guidance of the proposal response team, which includes gathering, verifying and formatting proposal information

  • Maintain a library of Public Sector customer stories, verify their eligibility for use, and actively author new customer stories on an ongoing basis.

  • Project manage and contribute to new Public Sector whitepapers and update existing whitepapers and other assets on an ongoing basis.

  • Drive quality assurance to ensure RFx content remains current, relevant, useful, and that duplicate information is removed from use. 

  • Review RFx content usage to track trends and gap analysis. Develop strategic approaches to close potential gaps to create more effective positioning of our public sector business.

  • Skills, Education, Experience Requirements

  • Mandatory: A minimum of 5 years of proposal content management experience in the technology consulting industry curating procurement responses for government and/or private organizations. 

  • Mandatory: Experience with technical writing for cloud Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.

  • Mandatory: Strong word processing skills with proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience effectively collaborating with Google Chat.

  • Highly Desired: Technically proficient with exporting and importing data into and out of proposal content libraries and software.

  • Highly Desired: 3 years of deep experience with an RFx content management system (RFPio, Qvidian, Loopio, etc.).

  • Highly Desired: A broad knowledge of Salesforce applications is highly desired or transferable job experience for other, similar cloud-based solutions such as Microsoft and Oracle. 

  • Highly Desired: Multi-lingual. Fluent to speak and write in other EMEA languages (e.g., German, Spanish, French, etc.)

  • Four year college degree. 

  • Outstanding oral communication and technical writing skills. 

  • Outstanding work ethic exemplifying punctuality and initiative.

  • Polished interpersonal skills; must work well with various levels including Area Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, Regional Vice Presidents, Account Executives, Solution Engineers, Directors, Managers, and other Technical and Administrative staff.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments while simultaneously working on and managing multiple tasks and the ability to work independently with limited oversight

  • Outstanding researching, analysis, writing, proofing, and editing skills. 

  • Self motivated to excel in a remote position collaborating effectively with a remote team; possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
