Position Summary

The Manager, Marketing (Americas Packaging) is responsible for packaging development and execution across one or more of the following categories (Batteries, Lights, Auto Care) for the Americas. The individual in this position will be a key member of the Marketing Operations Team for the Americas. The Americas Marketing Operations team will operationalize the plan for permanent and promotional SKUs by area in order to drive efficiencies and effectiveness. This individual will play a key role in the packaging strategy planning process, assisting in the development of marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics across various accounts and will be accountable for all packaging execution. In partnership with Global Marketing, Area Marketing, Brand Activation Managers and the Packaging COE, this role will drive brand strategies and the area brand plan along with key customer growth opportunities. The colleague in this role will lead a team and will report to the Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations - Americas.

  • Serve as a key link between Americas Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales, and Global Marketing, combining a solid understanding of Energizer brand initiatives and core strategies across the portfolio.
  • Spearhead packaging initiatives to drive productivity, simplification and reduction in Days in Inventory.
  • Provide leadership and support to internal and external teams (directly/indirectly) to achieve business goals
  • Lead Americas Packaging Team to achieve profit, sales and share goals
  • Outline Packaging team priorities in line with functional strategies and company direction
  • Lead SKU management for the Americas, including recommendations, ongoing analysis, and reporting against targets
  • Identify and provide areas for packaging productivity and cost reduction
  • Execute packaging projects for brand and product, including project management, costing, material setup (Master Data Governance), artwork approvals, image library assets, and active catalog data management
  • Support execution of multiple marketing programs as part of the annual business plan, including developing timelines and obtaining legal approvals
  • Manage budget, including line item detail, on-time reporting, monthly reconciliation, and day-to-day administration
  • Responsible for project management, business fundamentals, SKU management analytics, and communication
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other functional areas within the organization that foster commitment, teamwork and excellence in execution. May include formal team membership.
  • Train and develop Americas Packaging team
  • May also perform additional duties as assigned
  • Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree required. Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years related work experience
  • Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to learn
  • Action-oriented with ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, project and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to lead and work with cross functional teams
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • English fluency required; other languages helpful
