As a marketing manager, you will have a unique opportunity to own campaigns —from strategic development to briefing to execution to optimization to reporting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. He or she should be comfortable with changing direction and needing to pivot quickly to respond to business demands. You will partner closely with cross-functional planners and subject matter experts to concept and deploy focused, strategic campaigns, owned and paid, onsite and offsite, to drive awareness and engagement on eBay. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Day to Day contact for the vertical team to execute against the marketing strategy.

  • Lead the execution of plans (onsite and offsite) that maps back to the vertical strategy and deliver the optimal end-to-end customer journey.

  • Develop quarterly marketing plans for the vertical to support strategic priorities

  • Lead development and coordination of marketing campaigns, both pre-planned and opportunistic

    Own marketing strategy and briefs

    Guide creative development of campaigns

    Partner with planners, channel owners, and vertical experts to coordinate end-to-end support and a superior customer experience

    Execute ops processes to traffic and QA your campaign

    Own reporting and metrics

  • Skills & Experience

  • Consumer marketing experience in ecommerce, peer-to-peer marketplace, or start-up environment

  • Foundational knowledge of social, email, digital, media, and content development

  • Customer-centric, change agent, agile, disruptive and innovative in approach

  • Execution-driven mindset, managing performance against established KPIs

  • Strong sense of ownership to drive marketing campaign development with relative autonomy and efficiency. Ability to deal with ambiguity and driving clarity/action independently; independent, self-starter approach to work.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to source inventory, channel support, and creative assets

  • Effective communication in large or small group settings

    3-5 years experience in campaign management

    Experience with online retail marketing campaign development and deployment

    College degree or relevant training
