The Deloitte Ecosystems & Alliances Team is looking for a Senior Consultant to drive external communications and Public Relations in support of our alliance partnerships and our Deloitte Digital business. Work You ll DoIn this role, you will work with Ecosystems and Alliances Marketing leadership to support development of the organization s external communications strategy and manage the day-to-day execution of external communications programs. You will work collaboratively with other firm communications professionals, external agencies and partners to deliver proactive external news coverage and thought leadership campaigns, all while growing brand awareness, loyalty and setting high bars of excellence in the business of influence. Key responsibilities include:External Comms Strategy: Work with Marketing Services, Alliance Marketing and Deloitte Digital leadership to identify key initiatives where strategic communications can produce the greatest, measurable impact. Create storytelling opportunities that will impact the overall firm and businessOperations: Develop and execute communications plans to support identified priorities and narratives, providing strategic counsel on communications channels, engagement approaches, and cutting-edge technologies. Media Engagement: Serve as media contact for specific Alliance teams, and implement proactive and reactive media relation strategies (i.e., support at industry conferences, media training, counsel to external alliance PR teams, etc.)Project Management: Employ strong project management skills (initiating, planning, executing, managing, and closing projects to achieve plan objectives) in support of communications deliverables. Work closely with and help manage the external PR agency team.Collaboration: Align Alliance communications with overall Consulting Communications strategy, navigating teams that are impacted by alliances. Collaborate closely with the Alliance marketing team and communication colleagues throughout the firm to help ensure consistency of messaging, both internally and externally. Leadership: Develop a trusted advisor role with members of the broader Alliance teams and other communications professionals within the firm.Mentorship: Support the development of cross-functional team members to drive desired project outcomes and professional developmentThe Communications Specialist position reports directly to the VP, Marketing Communications and PR.The TeamDeloitte Consulting s Ecosystems & Alliances Team is made up of professional alliance managers, alliance marketers and technical architects who understand the principles that drive successful alliance relationships. Together, they enable differentiated, innovative go-to-market solutions between our practice and alliance partners that bring quantified value to our clients and incremental revenue to the firm. Closely integrated with our Ecosystems & Alliances teams, our Deloitte Digital business leverages this technology and creativity to better connect customers with businesses to imagine, deliver and run entirely new business futures. QualificationsRequired8+ years of prior, relevant communications experience required; including knowledge of communications fundamentals with experience leading and managing projects in a global, highly matrixed organizationUndergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in communications, journalism, English or a related business fieldExcellent communication, collaboration and relationship development skillsProven ability to contribute to communication program execution, including strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high quality resultsExperience in corporate communications and working closely with and writing for senior executivesProven ability to communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups and present complex information in easily understandable format tailored to each audienceAbility to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual teamSuperior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Up to 25% travel requiredPreferredAgency experience
