Data Center Business Development Manager, Remote **New York, United States** at **New** 2 additional locations United States Mclean, Virginia, United States Business Development at 19029935Requisition # 3 hours agoPost Date **Description** The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for pipeline development, managing the entire sales process, and achieving sales goals and objectives for their assigned territory. The BDM will develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve such targets, build and grow client relationships, and execute business development activities within their region. The BDM will collaborate with other team members during new sales pursuits and is responsible for leading these activities internally. They will also participate in the creation of client deliverables including RFP responses and pitches. This is a hunter role with an excellent compensation plan. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year college or university and a minimum of 2 -4 years of related Sales/Business Development experience required. Having knowledge or experience with Data Center sales/operations/outsourcing is a plus and preferred. Those with IT sales backgrounds (hardware, services, or other related sales) will be considered. Candidates must have: excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, solid presentation skills, ability to effectively and efficiently respond to inquiries from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management, in a timely fashion. Being a team player is a requirement! Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training with a background in finance, consulting, or analytics preferred. Experience must include a minimum of 2 years commercial real estate developing outsourcing solutions, pricing and org development models. Real Estate license preferred. CoreNet membership and participation in local events. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to prepare analytics and reports in a pre-designed style and format. Ability to effectively and efficiently respond to inquiries from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management. Ability to effectively present information. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and oversees departmental budget. Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills. Technically savvy with solid experience in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Outlook. Advanced Excel skills preferred. Experience working with large data sets and decipher multiple types of RFP models preferred. Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
